Methods And Approaches To Teach Reading In The Arabic Classroom

In this course; trainee teachers will be able to navigate; analyse and think critically about the different approaches and techniques to teach reading. They will reflect; discuss and be clear about pedagogy behind different activities and exercises and ways of adapting activities to their students' needs and levels. They will learn how to choose and assess reading activities according to the aims and set a context to each reading activity required. Creating good interaction and communication during different reading activities to encourage and motivate students to read; balancing between accuracy and fluency; is another focus of the course.
