About the CPD course

This course is suitable for home care support workers and non-mental health professionals. The standards set within the Regulation of Care (Jersey) law 2014 specify the requirement for statutory and mandatory training in the Awareness in Learning Disability; Mental Health and Dementia. The training covers the key elements of Learning Disability; Mental Health and Dementia which will support care staff in recognising their roles and interventions when working with these vulnerable patient groups. It is delivered using the principles of Person-Centred Care as described by the Health Foundation.
