About the CPD course
This is a 2-day face-to-face training on the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule; Second Edition (ADOS-2). The training covers information on the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule; Second Edition (ADOS-2) administering and coding Modules 1 – 4 and provides an essential step towards competence in using the ADOS-2 as part of autism assessments. Participants will watch and code 3 different modules during the course and 3 more after the course; one of which we will be discussed in a remote reliability meeting a month later. Pre and post course tasks are given to help learners develop confidence and competence in using the ADOS-2.
I am a highly specialist speech & language therapist, an ADOS-2 trainer, and a cognitive behaviour therapist, with a family focused approach, specialising in autism. I am a neurodivergent therapist, and I only work with neurodivergent young people and their families. I am deeply committed to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion, and to reducing stigma that surrounds neurodivergence as this has a significant impact on opportunities, achievements, well-being, mental health and self-esteem.
