By the way of practical exercises; we highlight the difference between stage and screen; adapting the time-honoured traditions of theatre to working in front of camera. Our courses are designed for teachers who wish to develop a greater understanding of performing for screen and use this understanding to inform their teaching practice.
Middleweek Newton was founded by Lucy Middleweek and Tom Newton.
MN Actors Academy came about due to the interest we received from large volumes of actors applying for representation via the books of our agency, Middleweek Newton Talent Management. We set up the academy as an organised route that suited both parties. For the actors, our part-time course provides an opportunity to learn new skills in a professional environment, at an affordable cost, while our agents use the sessions to scout new talent for the books of our agency. We clearly state that by attending classes there are no guarantees of professional representation, just an opportunity to learn and be seen.
