The depth and scale of suicide risk will never be known for certain, but we can all be educated and prepared to support those at risk.
Suicide Prevention Scotland delivers an effective one-day face to face programme for individuals. You will and develop lifelong skills to have confident conversations about suicide.
When you complete the course you will be able to:
1. Explain what suicide is and recognise different attitudes
2. Recognise signs of distress and know the different types of help
3. Confidently have a conversation with someone about suicide.
4. Manage your own thoughts and feelings about suicide.
Mental health is generated through self-awareness, identifying your strengths and using these to support areas that challenge you. It will enable you to manage unhelpful thoughts, tackle your inner critic and engage productively with others. Ultimately you will feel fulfilled, determined and optimistic, improving overall health, work performance and work life balance.
