The course will outline the components of a typical wet central heating system. It will then look at developments in boiler technology and sizing of radiators and boilers. The features of a range of different smart thermostats will be compared and the advantages and disadvantages of different models discussed. A case study will show how satisfied residents were with the cost of heating; level of control and ease of use with different smart thermostats. Learners will calculate the savings from different thermostats based on real life household consumption data.
