About the CPD course
This course is one module of our Decarbonising Homes: Technologies, Impacts and Solutions course. The full course consists of 8 stand alone subject modules giving learners to opportunity to complete the full course or select the individual modules that are most relevant to them. The Role of Insulation will examine the different options available for wall; roof and floor insulation as well as the different types of insulating materials and their performance. Ways of quantifying thermal performance will be covered including thermal conductivity and U-values. The savings from installing external wall insulation on park homes will be investigated and the wider benefits for residents. Options for improving the thermal performance in the future will also be considered.
