A one-day train-the-trainer venepuncture session delivered in a form of a workshop to enable participants develop a template for designing venepuncture training content and associated resources. The session covers: 1. Assessing learning needs; 2. Essentials for conducting effective training sessions; 3. Experimental learning applying Kolb’s learning cycle in venepuncture; 4. Communication strategies in venepuncture session; 5. Means of keeping learners engaged & motivated; 6.Creating venepuncture content; 7. Designing competency pack and guidance in assessing learners’ competencies; 8. Assessing learners’ venepuncture knowledge and methods; 9. Obtaining learners’ feedback on delivered session and methods; 10. Revisiting drafted template.
