Child Sexual Exploitation in Sport Training Course
About the CPD course
The NWG and Edge Hill University's Dr Mike Hartill have collaborated to develop a course designed to provide a greater comprehension into the issue of child sexual exploitation within sport. This course will provide delegates with the historical context of child sexual exploitation in sport within the UK and beyond. The course will consider developments in policy that have been put into place to safeguard children and how this can inform their practice. Learning will be enriched through the use of the voices of survivors of CSE in sport an aid their practice and policy.
The NWG (formerly The National Working Group for Sexually Exploited Children and Young People) is a Charitable organisation formed as a UK network of over 12000 practitioners who disseminate our information down through their services, to professionals working on the issue of child sexual exploitation (CSE) and trafficking within the UK. Our Network covers voluntary and statutory services and private companies working in this field. We offer support, advice and raise the profile, provide updates, training, share national developments, influence the development of national and local policy informed by practice. We have developed our youth advisory board to enable young peoples' voices to be heard through the work that we do.
