About the CPD course
Blended online course with tutor support.
Speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) is the term used to describe a range of needs that impact the way children understand spoken language, form words, and communicate with others. Early identification and support are essential if the learner is to improve their speech and language abilities, and social skills. This 20-hour blended course provides access to online evidence-based content and at least two live tutoring sessions. An authentic ‘real-world’ task simulates best practices and provides opportunities for learning to be personalised and embedded in everyday practice. Participants taking this course are equipped with the knowledge, understanding and skills to plan and deliver targeted interventions that lead to better learning outcomes for students with speech, language and communication needs.
