How To Support Young People Living with Parental Mental Illness

Online Course Our Time

About the CPD course

On this course: you’ll build a deeper understanding of the impact of parental mental illness on children: and learn how to deliver the support they need. This support is designed to help children and young people develop resilience: overcome adversity and avoid a range of negative outcomes in later life. You’ll be introduced to various strategies you can share with young people that they can implement in their daily lives to build their resilience. You’ll feel empowered to critically reflect on the challenges that children who have a parent with a mental illness face and how this impacts their childhood.
