Seminar Panduit Corporation

About the CPD course

This course provides an overview of electrical hazards; tools and methodologies that can be used to prevent electrical incidents in the workplace; including Prevention through Design and the Hierarchy of Controls. One of the most effective ways to reduce exposure to electrical shock and arc flash is to isolate electrical energy sources and ensure equipment is de-energized before performing work. Examples and best practices for verifying the absence of voltage with portable and permanently-mounted testing tools will be presented. Requirements for Absence of Voltage Testers (AVTs) and common voltage testing traps are also discussed.
