About the CPD course
This is an interactive workshop for teachers; educators and others working directly with children. You will gain an understanding of attachment theory and how attachment in early childhood can impact behaviours and relationships. We will specifically explore how trauma disrupts attachment and ways in which you can help children to regulate emotions and behaviours in support of their capacity to learn. You will consider strategies that you can use in your work and how you can use the principles of trauma-informed practice as a framework for these strategies.
Recentre is a bespoke virtual and residential support programme based in Northern Ireland, facilitated by trained therapists and professionals. We support individuals to heal from trauma experiences including, but not limited to, abuse/assault, domestic abuse, grief and loss, conflict, and effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
