About the CPD course
An introductory training around diversity in domestic abuse looking at the following: Promoting Diversity and Inclusion within our responses to Domestic Abuse . Highlighting the difference between standard response to domestic abuse and response to domestic abuse in ethnically diverse and minority communities. Exploring the dynamic of minority communities and the role they play in Domestic Abuse Responses.
Reducing the Risk is a small domestic abuse charity. We work with partner organisations including the police, children's services, health workers and local councils to provide services for adults and children who are affected by domestic abuse and violence. We know that working together, good information sharing, clear pathways to specialists with the authority and experience to keep victims and their children safe, and recognising risk early on, will ensure those affected by abuse are supported from their first contact, through change, to recovery, transforming their lives.
