About the CPD course
Powerful and informative interactive training session; led by facilitators with recent lived experience of the criminal justice system; to inspire criminal justice professionals to change their practice to achieve better individual and community outcomes in their work with people trapped in the cycle of repeat offending; crisis and crime. The session will enable participants to understand the root causes that lead people into criminal justice contact; the importance of developing empathy; rapport and trusting relationships – and what that means in practice.
We work across England to end the revolving door of crisis and crime and improve services for those facing multiple disadvantages, including ill mental health, homelessness or domestic violence. Drawing from our lived experience experts and respected policy and research expertise, we champion solutions for justice reform that tackle the root causes of reoffending and support people's journeys towards better lives.
