A comprehensive course that provides delegates with the necessary information and practical training to safely deliver the NHS flu vaccination service. The course includes convenient online learning and face to face practical training; followed by an online assessment. The course consists of 4 core modules: 1) Injection technique (intramuscular; subcutaneous; and; intradermal injections; together with training on administration of the intra-nasal flu vaccine) + practical training on intramuscular and subcutaneous injections; 2) Anaphylaxis and how to manage it with adrenaline; 3) Basic Life support + practical CPR; 4) Influenza vaccine information.
Our flu vaccination training course is designed to make it easier for pharmacists to access high quality training in the most convenient manner. We have been providing flu vaccination training since 2009, and, in 2015 we re-designed our course specifically to meet the NHS pharmacy flu vaccination service. Since 2015 we have trained thousands of community, hospital and GP practice pharmacists. Other healthcare professionals have attended our course and found it helpful too.
