About the CPD course

This course; Catheter Care; is designed for healthcare providers who support catheter users in a community or residential setting. It will explain why and how catheters might be fitted; what a catheter passport is and basics of caring for someone with a catheter; including how to help change and empty their urinary drainage bags; how to prevent and identify an infection and how to protect their dignity. It will take around 25 minutes to complete. The content of this course applies equally to healthcare workers in England; Scotland and Wales. However; there may be some additional considerations in your region.
