About the CPD course

Poor mental health is a serious problem affecting many in the legal profession. This course expands on the reasons why this is the case and the efforts being made to change the culture behind it. There is practical guidance for lawyers and; in the continuation module; legal managers on how to recognise and manage symptoms of stress and poor mental health and how to seek and administer support. It also discusses the legal position of lawyers with mental ill-health; their obligations; and the potential consequences of impaired judgement.
