About the CPD course

This pathway explores the principles of data protection and how they operate in practice. For example; how a data subjects consent to processing data is needed; or how a firm can also rely on one of the other legal bases for processing personal data. The pathway also looks at the rights data subjects have; for example amongst others; the right to object or restrict processing. Also examined is the reporting of data breaches. Finally; the pathway look at how firms should have practices and tools in place to demonstrate that they operate within sound accountability and governance procedures with regard to data protection.
