About the CPD course

This course explains equality; diversity; and inclusivity and how to translate it to day-to-day practice. Delegates look at their values in relation to equality and diversity and what impacts them. Upon conclusion; delegates will be able to identify the nine protected characteristics within the Equality Act; relate each to real-world examples; state the difference between equal treatment and equal opportunity; and explain the value of diversity and the benefits of inclusion within the workplace and wider society. Course covers: What is equality and diversity? Valuing diversity. Managers and employees responsibilities. Equality policy and action plan. Discrimination; disability; race equality. Recruitment.
