Sexual Violence; Abuse and Harassment between Peers Course

Recent statistical evidence and rapid review findings on peer on peer sexual abuse have highlighted an urgent need to improve safeguarding practice. This is reflected by the new standards set out in Keeping children safe in education (KCSIE); which sets out the statutory requirements for educational settings; including post 16 education. This course examines the topics of sexual violence; sexual abuse and sexual harassment; exploring how educational settings can develop a ‘it can happen here’ zero-tolerance approach and embed best practice standards. The course is complemented by a peer on peer abuse risk assessment consideration table and case studies to enhance learning.
