World Health Organization (WHO) Hand Hygiene Guidelines. Learning and assessment on the World Health Organization (WHO) hand hygiene protocol in healthcare settings. The course consists of 2 Lessons and 2 quizzes on hand hygiene. Lesson 1: The WHO hand hygiene protocol will teach you about the Importance of hand hygiene; what are healthcare associated infections (HAIs); and when and how to use soap & water and alcohol-based hand rub. Lesson 2: The 5 Moments for Hand Hygiene will teach you when to perform hand hygiene during patient care; the infection risks in the patient environment; the fundamentals of hand hygiene; and examples to apply each of the 5 moments. Both lessons are supported with a short quiz to test your knowledge.
