About the CPD course

This course enhances care home staff's ability to identify and respond to clinical deterioration; focusing on CPR; including chest compressions; rescue breaths; and using Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). Emphasising adherence to current resuscitation policies and guidelines to prepare staff for emergencies; teaching them to recognise and react to signs of clinical deterioration. The training also underscores the importance of understanding individual roles in emergencies; applying resuscitation techniques within personal capabilities; and ensuring effective emergency responses. Additionally; it covers responses to choking; reviews DNACPR principles; and discusses accurate reporting and recording of emergency events; aligning with CQC safety standards.
