About the CPD course

This course provides homecare workers with essential skills in identifying and responding to clinical deterioration; focusing specifically on effective CPR techniques. It includes training in administering chest compressions; rescue breaths; and using Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). Emphasising adherence to current resuscitation policies and guidelines; the course prepares participants to handle emergencies; teaching them to recognise and act on signs of clinical deterioration in adults. Additionally; it covers emergency responses for choking; understanding DNACPR principles; clarifying roles in emergencies; and the importance of accurate reporting and recording of emergency events; all vital for ensuring effective and timely intervention in homecare settings.
