About the CPD course

This advanced training equips homecare workers to understand safeguarding practices tailored to at-risk adults in domiciliary care settings. It focuses on identifying and responding to abuse signs; risk assessment techniques; and understanding forensic safeguarding procedures. The course advocates for professional collaboration in safeguarding; emphasising active participation in multidisciplinary meetings. It addresses protecting adults' rights; dignity; and safety; particularly those with diminished capacity; in complex care scenarios. Participants are trained to navigate challenging situations and make informed decisions; ensuring the well-being and safety of vulnerable adults in their care.
