This training is aimed at interpreters who work with victims of sexual violence. The training is developed as part of the EU-funded INHeRE project and will help you to: Understand the unique challenges and cultural implications of interpreting for victims of sexual violence; Learn the fundamental principles of effective interpreting during face-to-face and remote video sessions (VRI); Understand the background of sexual violence in migration context; Learn ways to look after yourself to prevent or deal with vicarious trauma; Practice interpreting for victims of sexual violence during roleplays based on real-life cases.
