Foundation Immunisation Training for Healthcare Support Workers (adult schedule)

This training course aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to confidently promote and administer vaccinations. The course objectives include ensuring that practitioners provide safe; effective; and high-quality care to their patients; providing accurate information about relevant diseases; immunisations; and vaccines; supporting individuals to make informed decisions about vaccination; promoting public confidence in vaccination; and improving immunisation uptake. This course also covers topics such as vaccine storage and distribution; including the cold chain process; and vaccine administration; including sharps disposal processes. Upon completion of the course; participants will have demonstrated their knowledge in these areas.
