A new dementia-inclusive approach to building communities

10 May 2022

About the event

With the increasing age of our population; there will be a major demographical shift which requires organizations to start rethinking their products; services and management. In the coming years we will see rapid increases in the number of people over the age of 65; this change between now and 2050 is expected to become one of the most significant social transformations of the twenty-first century; with implications for nearly all sectors of society. The Ageing Societies committee at ISO has published its first standards in this field and will provide the needed guidance to allow older persons to remain active in their local communities or organizations as long as possible. With standards in place there will be a greater possibility to benefit from the contributions of older persons in our society and allow more organizations to tap into the new markets.
