About the event
The course comprises four elements: Pre-recorded introductory lectures covering: Basic anatomy and physiology; ophthalmic imaging techniques; clinical characteristics of genetic and acquired retinal disease; optic nerve disease; video demonstrations of electrode placement. Live online lectures covering electroretinography (ERG); pattern ERG; multifocal ERG; cortical visual evoked potential (VEP); the electro-oculogram (EOG) and extended ERG protocols. Topics will be addressed in the context of clinical applications; including specialised paediatric techniques; in a wide range of retinal and visual pathway disorders. Pre-recorded versions of these lectures will be available. Practical demonstration day; held in the Moorfields electrophysiology department (optional) Live online case-study presentations.
