To save money we need to be aware how we use energy at home; how the costs are calculated and how our usage of energy can impact the environment. We need to consider the future and how technology will impact energy use in our homes. This presentation will help attendees to be more knowledgeable in their domestic energy usage; consider the different units of energy and understand how consumption of fuels leads to costs and carbon emissions. It will also include a high level review of the principles of heat pump and photovoltaic technology.
NAWIC is an international not-for-profit association dedicated to the advancement of women in the construction industry.
