Programming in Mental Health Research

About the event

This workshop provides a forum for early career researchers in the mental health data science community to explore innovative data science approaches. The workshop session will include: An overview of programming principles including computing; program design; and Code reusability; a practice session on R; a practice session in Python; Keynote talks from Dr Pauline Whelan and Dr Johnny Downs. No previous knowledge of programming is required. This session is part of a data science workshop series to be rolled out between 2022-2024.

Our Mental Health Data Research Hub makes the most of the UK’s rich mental health data and enable coordinated research, with the ultimate aim of improving lives. The Hub will transform mental health research in the UK by providing a central, integrated data infrastructure with findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR) mental health data sets.
