The retrofit of our building stock will be a major factor in lowering carbon emissions across the UK and Ireland; and is high on the UK government agenda to meet net zero targets by 2050. However; for the c.14% of NIs housing stock built before 1919; there are a number of additional considerations to be made to ensure that measures are appropriate; fit for purpose and support occupant health. This 1-day in-person course will give a deeper understanding of considerations and practical measures that can be introduced in traditional and historic buildings to improve energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
