Aesthetic industry event to hear presentations from 4 world renowned aesthetic medical professionals. The talks will include the following topics: Diagnosis & avoidance of complications associated with injectable treatments (both toxin and dermal filler). Risk assessing of medicines and disease within aesthetic practice. The role of antibiotics & steroids. Reversing dermal filler blindness. An introduction to ultrasound and the significance and importance of its use in aesthetic medicine; specifically its use in the management of complications.
After gaining a wealth of experience in this field Lisa wanted to further advance her career and accepted a job within the Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Team, this involved caring for acutely ill patients requiring sedation, ventilation, haemodynamic support and cardiac rehabilitation.
In 2008 Lisa trained as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse — Health Visitor and secured employment in her own local area where Lisa grew up. This afforded Lisa opportunities to improve social inequalities and promote health and well being. Nursing has always been Lisa’s vocation — but aesthetics has always been her passion!! This passion encouraged the opening of FacetherapyNl.
Facetherapy NI is a small family run business, set up 2016, incorporating Lisa (myself) an Aesthetics Nurse and Geri , Manager and Company Director (my wife and the Main driver behind the business), Lisa met her wife in 2002 at her first ever nursing placement — she was a care assistant and I a student nurse — from then she pushed her and encouraged her to follow her dreams and enter into the world of aesthetics!
For 14 years they talked, and talked, and talked some more about taking the giant leap into aesthetics world — and in 2016 they finally did! From June 2016 — it’s been a whirlwind of emotions and full speed ahead.
