Building for tomorrow (Bft) is our annual event programme focused on bringing the latest technical and regulatory updates in house-building to our registered builders (predominantly); delivered by key experts from NHBC and others across the industry. In 2024; NHBC’s Bft will have been running for 33 years. The events are a vehicle to educate the industry on new regulatory updates; new methods of construction; addressing any issues housebuilders are facing; and ultimately positioning NHBC as a market leader and standards raiser in housebuilding. The events also give external companies – registered housebuilders; Government bodies; and suppliers to the housebuilding industry; a platform to address topical subjects as well as exhibiting their products/services.
National House Building Council are the UK’s leading warranty and insurance provider for new homes. Established in 1936, we set standards for our registered builders and work to help them improve the construction quality of the homes they build. This is ultimately for the benefit of homeowners.
We provide inspection services, guidance and training to builders. We engage with the industry, the Government and key stakeholders to help shape housing policy and practice. We provide protection for homeowners through our range of Buildmark warranty products.
