Local Authorities have a statutory duty to review housing conditions and identify when action is needed. However; keeping track of stock; gathering evidence; and enforcing the law on rogue landlords is an immense challenge. This training session will help you improve your response; close loopholes; and improve your investigations and enforcement procedures. We will review how to make efficient use of the available tools and powers to respond to criminal offences and deter rogue landlords. In this practical course; you will gain the confidence to implement reactive and proactive approaches to crack down on crime in the private rented sector. Learn how to effectively investigate cases of substandard housing and achieve successful prosecutions of rogue landlords in your area.
