Implementing a non-medical intravitreal injection service
12 Apr 2024
About the event
With an increasing demand in treatment for people with eye conditions such as diabetic macular oedema; retina vein occlusion and age-related macular degeneration; the non-medical led model of care has radically reduced waiting times for the therapy and improved clinical outcomes as well as subsequent patient related quality of adjusted life year scores. The Moorfields intravitreal injection course enables institutions to establish their own non-medical delivered IVT injection services. In-person attendees take part in a wet lab session where they will practice administering injections. Online attendees watch a presentation and video demonstration of the injection process with discussion and a Q&A.
