About the event
This interactive course will help you to understand how to engage and involve patients and their families in patient safety incidents. Attend this timely half-day Patient Safety: Engaging Patients and their Families online training course to learn about essential procedures and obligations such as the Duty of Candour and Martha’s Rule – the new requirement to provide access to 24/7 critical care reviews of patients; and how these relate to the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF). You will analyse different scenarios and discuss with peers what “good” looks like and practical steps to improve communication with patients; decision making procedures and escalation routes.
