22 Oct 2024
About the event
The diagnosis of an endodontic condition requires a thorough examination; incorporating both clinical and radiographic information. The clinical examination involves taking a patient history; visually inspecting the dental element and surrounding tissues; palpating soft and hard tissues; conducting periodontal examination; and assessing percussion. Radiographic examination provides valuable information but should never stand alone in making a diagnosis. It is crucial to correlate the findings of the radiographic examination with other information It is essential to gather information about caries; fractures; restoration leakage; or other reasons for the failure of the initial root canal treatment. A proper diagnosis is essential for planning a successful treatment strategy; it is like a puzzle.
