One-day conference about international approaches to early years education; with the aim of helping UK nursery professionals implement the best ideas from abroad and improve their own delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to children aged under five. The conference covers: latest research into how children learn; highly rated childhood education systems around the world; including New Zealand’s Te Whariki early years curriculum; Swedish approaches to inclusion and identity; and the Pikler approach from Hungary. Sessions will also cover the educational approaches of Froebel and Regio-Emilia; and highlight the experience of male childcarers in other countries.
