Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman

Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman

We combine the two statutory roles of Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration (the Parliamentary Ombudsman) and Health Service Commissioner for England (Health Service Ombudsman). Our role is to investigate complaints that individuals have been treated unfairly or have received poor service from government departments and other public organisations and the NHS in England. We work to put things right where we can and to share lessons learned to improve public services. Our service is free and open to everyone.
