Assessment; Planning and Resources for Primary-Aged Children with MLD & Dyscalculia.

Resources include a handbook with a reflective learning exercise; and presentation notes. Many people dislike or are bad at maths; but for a child or young person with Maths Learning Difficulties (MLD) or dyscalculia; it is much more complex than this. MLD is a term that describes problems with learning number facts and applying them and also difficulties in carrying out mathematical procedures such as written calculations. This session explores effective intervention strategies and techniques that can be used with children with maths learning difficulties and/or dyscalculia and offers an overview of resources for use in assessment; planning and effective teaching.
