Adverse Childhood Experiences Awareness Training – full day

Becoming trauma-informed and understanding toxic stress is essential in providing the most effective and sensitive support to individuals dealing with Adverse Childhood Experiences. The course explains categorisations of ACEs; how trauma and toxic stress impacts on a physical/biological level and socially; strategies that can mitigate negative outcomes and how this may impact our practise and behaviours. It considers potential risks to professionals and individuals in caregiving roles. This includes teachers; children and family workforce; police and nurses and other professions. It provides consideration of how we may change organisational practices and influence societal change.
