Recruitment and Retention Training - Trust staff only

This is a one day training programme taking appointing managers through the whole recruiting process: from the Vacancy Control Panel to the Local Induction Programme for the new recruit. We focus on the legalities involved with employing a new member of staff and how the policies and procedures underpin the Trust's recruitment process. We begin by creating the job description and person specification; we then move onto creating an advert that will attract the right person. We prepare for the interview; in particular concentrating on effective questioning and carrying out a couple of mock-interviews with post-exercise feedback. We then finish by looking at the induction process. Available to Trust staff only.
