Parent to parent supporter volunteer training

Training Course National Deaf Children's Society

About the CPD course

This training will prepare parents of deaf children who have volunteered to support other parents in a similar position to carry out their role. The training will cover the range of skills needed to be an effective parent supporter and ensure our volunteers are armed with the knowledge they need to support others; make referrals as appropriate and know where to go for advice. Important considerations like safeguarding; emotional health and well-being of volunteers and those they support are key to this training.
