About the CPD course

This course is a designated safeguarding lead training for school leaders; trust executives; designated safeguarding leads (DSL’s) and their deputies; as well as link safeguarding governors within schools and colleges. The course takes an in-depth look at key legislation and government guidance which provides the framework to safeguarding within our schools. Through analysing serious case reviews and encouraging professional discussions; this course supports school leaders in reviewing and adapting their practice in line with Ofsted requirements. This level of training is statutory for all DSLs and is required to be updated every 2 years as outlined in Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018.
