About the CPD course
This introductory 1;5 day course is suitable for nurses and physiotherapists new to the speciality and those wishing to update their practical assessment skills; Held in a clinical environment to gain practical experience in the digital assessment of pelvic floor muscle function Theory of anatomy/physiology of the pelvic floor complex Objective assessment of pelvic floor muscle dysfunction Demonstrations of biofeedback including EMG and dynamic ultrasound Clinician and Patient role models during a practical examination session Each participant to carry out at least one digital vaginal assessment Valid consent procedures adhered to according to DoH guidelines
