About the CPD course
The module considers how swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) can be associated with epilepsy and highlights some of the patient groups more likely to have epilepsy; who may be at risk. After working through the module; you should: Understand the impact of medication non-adherence in epileptic patients. Be able to identify key patient groups who are more likely to have epilepsy and experience swallowing difficulties. Be able to discuss why it is particularly important for epileptic patients to receive a licensed formulation. Understand the additional complexity that administering medication through enteral feeding tubes can have for epileptic patients.
