A course to raise awareness of Female Genital Mutilation to help people understand FGM as a form of child abuse and to be better able to identify and respond to it. This has been specifically developed for education-based staff including information regarding the mandatory reporting duty for teachers and how establishments can incorporate the teaching of FGM into the curriculum.

This includes safeguarding audits, specific area scrutinies, safeguarding supervision for staff and a telephone support service.
