About the CPD course
All school governors are now required to access training that equips them with the knowledge to provide strategic challenge to test and assure themselves that the safeguarding policies and procedures in place in schools and colleges are effective and support the delivery of a robust whole school approach to safeguarding. This interactive training session prompts governors to seek such assurances be fully involved with meaningful policy development and offer support and challenge to those directly involved in safeguarding children. Designed to be interactive; delegates are provided with opportunities to interact and given resources to support them in their role.
Schools Safeguarding provides support for safeguarding across the children’s workforce, primarily in schools, nurseries, colleges, and workplace providers of apprenticeships. This includes safeguarding audits, specific area scrutinies, safeguarding supervision for staff and a telephone support service.
Schools Safeguarding devise and deliver a comprehensive, up-to-date and impactful training programme for all those involved in safeguarding. Their training is practical, interactive and empowering – equipping staff with the skills, knowledge and confidence to undertake their safeguarding responsibilities effectively.
