About the CPD course
A basic introductory course that aims to improve awareness of Safeguarding in housing and support services specifically and to understand housing’s role in Safeguarding under the Care Act 2014. The course can be easily flexed to focus on either child or adult safeguarding and can be delivered at different levels for different roles depending on the needs of the organisation. We will ensure examples are relevant to day-to-day working experiences and that reporting advice can be easily practically applied. We will cover legislation; awareness; and how and when to report concerns. We will ensure that staff understand how vital their role can be in safeguarding adults at risk and children.

Shelter
Shelter tackles the root causes of the housing crisis by challenging the people in power to make our vision of a home for everyone a reality. We lobby the government and local authorities for new laws and policies, and more investment, to improve the lives of homeless and badly housed people.
