About the CPD course

E-learning module suitable for all healthcare professionals particularly GPs; advanced nurse practitioners and care support workers. The content covers the types; causes and pathophysiology of spina bifida; its clinical symptoms; long-term effects and how it can be diagnosed and treated. The course explores the range of possible physical and cognitive effects of spina bifida and guidance is given for prevention and for supporting people with the condition. The module has been produced by Shine - a UK charity for spina bifida; anencephaly; hydrocephalus and related conditions.
